On 10 October 2013 which is the birth date of Paul Kruger, roughly a 160 people attended the Unite Red October event in Port Elizabeth to release red balloons in protest of the oppression of white South Africans, joining 40 other official events across South Africa. Similar protest events took place internationally in the USA, London, Europe and Australia, amongst others.

Don’t know whether I should laugh or cry when I hear a racist complaining about racism. Wish they would admit that all race groups are being negatively affected by the high crime rate and that we as a nation should be protesting against it. They complain about the white murders being kept quiet but fail to see that >40 murders a day are not being reported. It’s not because of racism but because murders have become so common place that it’s just not newsworthy anymore.
A well thought out comment cricketlover, thank you.
South Africans have become like the dog that runs after the bus – when the dog catches it he doesn’t know what to do with it!
i.e. We had the rainbow nation handed to us on a plate and, not knowing what to do with it, we proceeded to savage it.
