8 November 2012 By Ward 2

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality is preparing a Local Spatial Development Framework (LSDF) for the Inner City Area of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro.

The planning area comprises of the Mount Croix, North End, Richmond Hill, Central, Govan Mbeki, St Georges Park, Baakens River Valley, South End, Humerail, the Harbour and Kings Beach Areas of Port Elizabeth.

The study areas cover portions of Wards 2, 3 and 5 represented by Councillors: Biddulph, Hayselden and Davis.

The purpose of the LSDF Plan is to compile spartial guidelines which would assist the Metro Municipality in taking decision regarding the future development in the neighbourhoods mentioned.

An Open Day will take place on Thursday, 15 November 2012 at the Council Chambers, City Hall from 14:00 to 18:30, with a brief presentation at 17:00.
