Madiba’s only wish for his birthday is that everyone gets involved in their communities and makes a difference for the day in someone else’s life. The whole world will celebrate the birthday of Nelson Mandela on the 18th of July 2013.
In keeping with his wish and on this special day Port Elizabeth based housing company, Moladi will be handing over a house constructed for a homeless Gogo in KwaZulu-Natal. Many dignitaries are to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony and the hand over of the key to the new owner by the guest of honour, eThekwini Mayor James Nxumalo.
Decent affordable housing is one of the key factors in the fight against poverty and social exclusion. It is not just about putting a roof over someone’s head. Academic research proves that access to a clean and stable home implicates an improvement in security, health and education.
Moladi, an award winning company, established in 1986 and based in Port Elizabeth, makes quality housing accessible to low-income people through innovative and eco-friendly technology, creating employment.
