Our new convicted criminal in charge of Infrastructure and Engineering for the Nelson Mandlea Bay Municipality, Andile Lungisa, is now being ridiculed for a “tweet” he is supposed to have sent from his Twitter Account – @mrlungisa – saying that Louis Armstrong never landed on the moon in 1969. (So where did the song ‘What a wonderful world come from?) and that the USA reported Louis Armstrong’s landing on the moon as propaganda against Russia.
African National Congress (ANC) Councillor Andile Lungisa was found guilty by the Port Elizabeth Magistrate Court in April 2018 for an attack on the Democratic Alliance (DA) Councillor Rano Kayser during a heated council meeting in the Metro in October 2016.
After reading the tweet purporting to show that not only was Lungisa guilty of assault but, more heinously, of being:
- a Moon landing denialist and
- completely oblivious of who actually (OR was supposed to have) landed on the moon
and in the interests of good journalism I had an attack of fairness and proceeded to download ALL of young Andile’s tweets from 2012. All, as in 860 of his reported 1 111 tweets to date. The ASSUMPTION is that he deleted 251 of them.
And the VERDICT – the purported Tweet does NOT appear in his timeline so it could have been deleted OR photoshopped. What do you think?
