Now comes the newsiest titbit of all: the new Madam & Eve annual ‘The Pothole at the End of the Rainbow’ is available.

It’s called The Pothole at the End of the Rainbow, and it features your favourite household maintenance executive, Eve Sisulu – now also a “Playmaid of the year” on the cover of the SA edition of Playboy Magazine – as well as Madam, Mother Anderson, and the usual crew of politicians, celebrities, and other leading South African icons and institutions.

The new Madam and Eve Annual, after a highly successful launch at the Cape Town bookfair (Read Auntie’s revies of one of the events at the bookfair: Wombat Sam Aces the Cringe Factor), will be launched in the Presidential Suite at Axxess St Georges Cricket ground on Thursday 20 October at 6:00 pm. Proceeds from the launch will go towards the Eastern Cape Chapter of Child Welfare SA.

Your 120 bucks will snag you some cocktail snacks, wine and a hilarious show by the creators of the strip, Stephen Francis and Rico. Tickets to the launch are available from Fogartys Bookshop in Walmer Park, or from Pearl Blecher at 083 399 5853.

Signed copies of the book will be available for purchase, wonderful Christmas and year end gifts!

  1. In a ‘sneaky’ PR move Eve Sisulu was crowned the Playmaid of the Year and appears, in a slinky red Jessica Rabbit style frock, draped over an ironing board on the front cover of the SA version of Playboy magazine.

    In an even SNEAKIER move a Google search for ‘Playmaid of the Year’ places MyPE, currently, at the top of the search results.
