Ja, ja, ja – here he goes with the speech again I can hear you say…………
Those people who park in disabled parking spaces really get my knickers in a knot – they are probably the same ones that drive 1 kilometre to the gym and get highly irritated when they cannot park at the entrance.
My young niece, Emily has also joined in the cause and sent me two images that she found on the internet. One image came from a blog by Katie called, Hedgehog Blog. Katie says; “Welcome to the chaos that is my life. I’m 30 years old I’ve had spastic Cerebral Palsy since birth and I have hip injuries from being hit by a bus in college. I live with my husband and his 9 year old son from a previous relationship. I have a beautiful daughter, the hedgehog herself. It’s often overwhelming, but never boring!”
The image from Katie’s blog sent to me by Emily reads; “You have taken my parking space! Would you like my disability also?”
Read a bit about Katie’s frustrations in her blog post here: Get Out of my Space.
The other image that Emily spotted was on the Desktop Nexus site and reads; “If you are not disabled and park here you soon will be” – a little bit more to my liking I must say.
Especially with the Festive Season underway I ask you to please have a little bit of respect for the disabled.
