PE Penguin Festival

The Port Elizabeth Penguin Festival is taking place on Saturday 5 October at SANCCOB, located in the Cape Recife Nature Reserve.

The morning fun run starts at 09h30, running to the lighthouse and back to the center, leading to a fun-filled day before the penguin release.

Algoa FM’s Daron Mann will be the Master of Ceremonies and a prize-giving will follow the race, with activities for children, food vendors and SANCCOB merchandise on sale.

Bring your camp chairs and picnic blankets along and share a fun day with the penguins! Entry ticket sales open from 08h30. R50 for adults, R30 for senior citizens and children under 12.

At 11h30 a public beach release of African penguins can be attended by all on the beach, across the road from the SANCCOB Port Elizabeth center.
