CRIME FORUM NEWS

Newton Park Sector Crime Forum and Neighbourhood Watch

According to the Newton Park Sector Crime Forum and Neighbourhood Watch there has been an increase in burglaries, especially at business premises. The forum urges everyone in the area to get involved. The next meeting of the forum will be held on 5 April 2011 at Elizabeth Place at 18h30. Contact the forum from 8am to 6pm on 082 788 0320 and after hours on 083 544 1344.

Millard Grange Crime Forum

The Millard Grange Crime Forum has requested residents to report all crimes to the South African Police Services. This, they say, is because the number and types of crimes in an area are determinants in how much staffing police stations in areas receive. It may seem like a hassle to report a crime, but if you don’t you are putting the community at risk.

Get involved in your Neighbourhood Watch

If you are interested to become part of an existing Neighbourhood Watch in your area, or would like to start a Neighbourhood Watch of your own, kindly contact Dave Moorhouse on 078 322 1798 for more information.
