Andile April: New Coega Communications and Stakeholder Relations Manager

Gqeberha, South Africa, 14 November 2022, The Coega Development Corporation (CDC) is happy to announce the appointment of Communications and Stakeholder Relations Manager, Mr Andile April. The importance of the role cannot be overstated, as Mr April will act as the interface between the CDC, members of the media, and an array of public and private sector stakeholders. The fulfilment of this role is of particular importance to access of information, transparency, and responsiveness as a public entity.

Mr Andile April holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism (2019) from the Tshwane University of Technology and is currently pursuing his PGDip in Public Policy and African Studies (Final year) from the University of Johannesburg.

Andile was born and bred in Uitenhage just outside Gqeberha. He completed his High School education at Strelitzia High School and E-du College in Gqeberha. He joins the Coega team after spending a little over three years at Sasol E&PI as Corporate Affairs Specialist. Other work experience includes Vodacom Business as Senior Media Specialist, MTN SA as Communications Manager, and Vodacom Foundation and Sponsorship as Senior Media Specialist. Mr April has also worked as a Business Reporter for Sunday World.
