As the nation navigates Level 4 of the national lockdown, Nelson Mandela Bay has confirmed that 209 patients have been quarantined in various facilities in the metro. The main isolation facility has been set up at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth. The site will also accommodate families. Out of the 209 patients isolated in the city, 153 have already been discharged.

Between the 12th and 17th Centuries, the mythical Prester John was believed to be the white ruler of a Christian republic hidden somewhere amongst the pagans and the Muslims in the undiscovered lands. First believed to be in Asia, the Portuguese then ‘discovered’ Prester John in Africa, spurning many explorers to confidently forge ahead into Africa, convinced that they would find a Christian ally waiting for them with open arms.
