A message hit my desk earlier saying; “I would like to know why BuyPE supports a corrupt business? (Company Name removed) has been involved in illegally obtaining tenders / contracts from their clients for example the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality. If you don’t believe me Google (Name Removed of Company Name removed) and you will see a fraud and corruption report. Also contact the department for priority crime investigation or the auditor general. They know about her fraud and corruption dealings.”
Of course BuyPE would like to protect consumers and not promote (for free might I add) businesses that are convicted of crimes so I duly plugged in the names given and a check on Google revealed one complaint to one web site and no record of the person named being convicted of a crime.
So I wrote back to the person asking; “Do you have a link that shows this business being convicted of a crime?”
And, guess what, the e-mail domain given – feedempitsang.co.za – does not exist.
Undaunted our friend then submitted a ‘press release’ on MyPR saying; “It is believed that (Company Name removed) is invovled in fraud and corruption. Numerous complaints were sent to the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, Deloitte tip offs, KPMG Ethics and Corruption Watch and nothing was done about it. Please Google the name (Name Removed) owner of (Company Name removed) and find the fraud and corruption report for more details or contact the above mentioned institutions for the details.”
Needless to say both messages have not been published.
If you don’t want to reveal your real name and address ‘Bronwyn’ then please expect me to treat your little SHOUTING TIRADE with a little less than the contempt it deserves.
Did I mention that both messages were ALL IN CAPS which is considered rude and rather SHOUTY!
