Marinus Van RooyenBorn in Despatch Marinus van Rooyen studied Mechanical Engineering. Whilst singing at a friends wedding, at The Boardwalk, Marinus was ‘discovered’ by the then Operational Manager, Brian Wilkinson. This led to a weekly gig on the Boardwalks’ calendar.

His first self penned song, Se Vir My, found airplay on Jaques Arendt’s Burger Opskop slot on Bay FM.

A debut album in 20143 followed – Die Hele Boksemdaais.

Marinus van Rooyen singing Pueri Concinite with the Eastern Cape Youth Choir. Footage consists of studio photos taken in November 2010 for Marinus latest album. This song was recorded in 1999 in die NG Church, Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Marinus was 19 at the time! A big thank you to Francois and Rene Zietsman for believing in Marinus to sing this beautiful song!
