Jasmin – Digital Artist

By

Jasmin Hoffman is a Visual Artist based in Richmond Hill, Nelson Mandela Bay.

Jasmin Hoffman says:

I grew up in a very creative home, with photography, painting, music, antique restoration, and more.

I have dabbled in many mediums but really found my “voice” during the lockdown. I started learning Photoshop 18 years ago and I am still learning. I find that I can express my visions so much more accurately this way. In the short period of time that I have been sharing my art, I have had some great commissions and most recently become a founding member of an Australian based company called Kolect.Art, which sells licensed artworks to the music industry..

I come from a very creative family. I have experimented with many mediums and especially enjoy doing large scale macrame and some other fiber arts. I started using photoshop more than 18 years ago, and have taught myself and am still learning,

A few years ago I got into Digital Collage and loved how I was able to bring my ideas to life.

Lockdown allowed me the time to really get more into my craft and six months later, I am a founding member of Kolect.Art, a platform for artists like myself to sell our art under license to the music industry, while also curating local art for our cafe/art/gallery/retail space.

I love what I do.

Alan Straton

Chief Cook, Bottle Washer and Broom Mechanic at MyPE
Passionate about Port Elizabeth and definitely NOT packing for Perth. Alan's ethos is epitomised in the words of Nelson Mandela; "I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the idea of a democratic and free society. If need be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die." See more articles by Alan.
