Facit was a fantastic Swedish company who made the best mechanical calculators in the world. Everybody used them.
The ANC was a fantastic South African party who peddled the best Freedom Charter in the world. Everybody voted for them.
And what did Facit do when the electronic calculator came along? They continued doing exactly the same.
And what did the ANC do when Jacob Zuma came along? They failed to follow the dictates of the Freedom Charter.
In 180 days Facit went from maximum revenue … and they were gone. Gone.
Jacob Zuma has 105 days to “Pay back the money”. Even if he does or doesn’t, he and the ANC will be gone. Gone.
LESSON: Recognise the enemy within and focus on your customer / citizen’s basic needs.
