Hijacked Kwanobuhle vehicle recovered after one day

Cradock SAPS members arrested a 34-year-old suspect about 30 km from Cradock on N10 towards Cookhouse, for possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of drugs.

The team received information from Tracker that two Volkswagen Polos, one that was reported stolen last year in Dobsonville, Gauteng and the other which was hijacked yesterday in Kwanobuhle, Uitenhage were on route to Cradock on the N10. The information was followed up, and the members spotted the vehicles along the N10. Police pulled over the driver and arrested him. The suspect was also found in possession of drugs.

The driver of the other vehicle drove through the roadblock, but was forced to stop at a stop and go. He abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. The police k9 was called in and the police are on the heels of the suspect.

Both vehicles was seized by the police.

The Cluster commander commended the team and further urge them to continue with their dedication.

“May this be a warning to all criminals, that the SAPS in the rural areas are vigilant and dedicated to do our work. We will not rest until we bring all perpetrators to justice. I am confident that more arrests are imminent” added Brig Zamkana
