Heads Up NMB Municipality – A Lesson to You and Fibre Installers in our City

9 March 2020 By Alan Straton

With a bit of FORESIGHT and PLANNING the NMB could make life easier for ALL

Been a while since I had a good vent … Leaving home this morning I nearly rode over the cordoned off area at the bottom of my driveway. Cordoned Off? Yes, these damn fibre installers are in the neighbourhood.

I get home now and what is across my driveway? A bloody great big hole. Great fun I am sure for all the poor sods digging in the rain as they witnessed me bleepity, bleep, bleep, bleeping my way up the driveway in the rain.

No communication, no consultation just entitled people taking over and raising my blood pressure somewhat.

Why didn’t our very own municipality see this coming and do the following: Install a ruddy big access pipe – large enough to accommodate future growth, REFUSE anyone permission to dig up our roads, sidewalks and driveways and then RENT space to all these different fibre installers?
