Having trouble seeing MyPE?

Okay I realise that it is pretty doff putting up an article on MyPE telling people how to troubleshoot their way to see pages on MyPE, but ……… maybe you will share this advice on whatever Social Media flavour you prefer? Also, those newsletter recipients having problems will see this on Saturday though.

Go on – you could even mail this to a mate! Handy social share buttons are provided at the bottom of your screen.

This week I have experienced many newsletter subscribers complaining of being unable to see MyPE and yet I can see all the pages. I think it may be a problem with certain ISP’s.

Please try the following:

  • If you can see this page: www.aledja.com then it is definitely not server wide related. On Aledja.com you will see your IP Address displayed – send me that address (typed or as a screenshot is fine).
  • If you cannot see that page and want to send me your IP Address then just go to www.whatismyip.com and it will tell you.
  • Before you go to all that trouble try forcing a refresh of the MyPE site on your computer and your ISP’s cache by going to www.mype.co.za and doing a Ctrl Refresh a few times – hold down the Ctrl key on your keybosrd and push the F5 key a number of times.

You could try the above for any and all sites that you try to access and have problems doing so.

In the past I have come across sites being restricted by a local router, ISP, downstream ISP, at site or server level. At least using the above you will be able to eliminate the local problems.
