During the month of May, Goldwater Preparatory School and Little Explorers Preschool held a Book Drive to collect books for their newly opened school library. On 27 May 2016 they had a Book Character Dress-Up Day to celebrate. Great fun was had by learners and teachers alike. Over 100 children’s books were collected. “Our learners thoroughly enjoy coming to the library, listening to stories and choosing books to take home. We are passionate about instilling a love of books and the joy of reading in our children” says school librarian Miss Lauren Pearce. If you would like to donate any new or used books in good condition to the Goldwater Library please contact the school office on (041) 368-1118 or admin@littlexplorers.co.za. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated.
