Let’s be honest here – the conflict is older than the dinosaurs and very few people see a negotiated peaceful resolution in our lifetime.
Frankly – the powers that be should lock both sides in a room with a bottle of water each, no food and no bathroom breaks UNTIL they can come up with a solution together.
Until that happens all we will have is escalating conflict spilling over into countries thousands of kilometers away from the source.
One the more ridiculous utterances that I had the displeasure to read about the conflict was this one referring to the protests happening in Cape Town; “The Pro-Palestine march yesterday that brought together tens of thousands of people is an important lesson in solidatity. Not only solidarity with the Palestinian people but between people of different neighborhoods, class positions, across racial lines and parties.”
Frankly the above is the same as some saying; “Our march celebrating war and suffering yesterday brought together people from diverse backgrounds – some using gas, some using weapons, some using knives and some bludgeoning people to death in a celebration of violence and destruction!” That someone would have the dimwitted dubious ability to draw parrellels between support of a violent conflict and racial and social harmony beggars belief.
In a war there are NO accidental deaths, there is no right and wrong, just violence and destruction of society at large.
