I am quietly optimistic that the latest change to MyPE will be good for our advertisers and give them an even greater return on investment.
The theory is that people always pause to look at an image when scrolling down a page. In the past the images accompanying any article on MyPE were either placed at the bottom of the article or on the left surrounded by text.
MyPE is now placing the images at the top of the article (above the fold so to speak) – this will help to get more eyeballs onto the adverts in the RHS sidebar above the fold as people will pause to look at the image and read the caption.
In addition captions are invariably a précis of the news article so that will also assist the busy reader in deciding to read on or not.
Making the world a prettier place!
