Gabriella Demetriades – Proving that There is Something in PE Water That Produces Stunning Women

20 December 2011 By Alan Straton

Joining the rush of Port Elizabeth women making it good on the modelling scene is Gabriella Demetriades. (Thanks for the tip off Ramon Thomas!)

Gabriella Demetriades was born in Parsons Hill, Port Elizabeth (just around the corner from MyPE‘s Offices) and has been working as a model since the age of 16. Together with her high school friend, Kimberley Wood, Demetriades runs a communications and marketing company named Satin Soldier in Cape Town. In 2009, Demetriades joined the race for Miss Bollywood SA title along with 48 other South African women. She represented the Kolkata Knight Riders after being picked from the crowd of spectators watching the cricket match between Deccan Chargers and Rajasthan Royals.

In 2010 Gabriella was voted in to position number six on the FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World list which was topped by Roxy Louw.

And now, Gabriella will grace the January 2012 cover of the FHM Magazine, edited by local scribe made good, Hagen Engler. BTW Hagen I loved your piece in Mahala about ‘Marrying Black’.

Passionate about Port Elizabeth and definitely NOT packing for Perth. Alan's ethos is epitomised in the words of Nelson Mandela; "I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the idea of a democratic and free society. If need be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die." See more articles by Alan.
