From Caramel Pancakes to Imagination Sushi

A birthday tradition in the Straton household is that the birthday celebrant gets to choose their three meals of the day.

In the past we were treated to Caramel pancakes with ice cream for breakfast, hot dogs or pizza for lunch and KFC for supper. Interspersed with these gastronomic ‘delights’ would be items such as chocolate, cake, cream, sweets and other artery clogging delights. Children are most certainly fattening.

As the Kangaroo and Apprentice Longhair have grown so the food choices have matured to more palatable varieties.

Yesterday was the Apprentice Longhair’s birthday and we had a great day which started with fruit salad and yoghurt for breakfast, ploughman’s platter for lunch and sushi for supper.

Happy Birthday once again, Binky – your mother and I are blessed to have you as a daughter.
