An emergency response driver was arrested this week whilst chasing to an accident scene on the Port Elizabeth M4 in a vehicle marked as a emergency vehicle but, apparently not registered as one.
This is the second time in just over a year this private ambulance services has been in trouble for the same offence.
Who thinks to ask if the ambulance they get into is actually properly licensed and registered?
Rude Media
Earlier this week I had occasion to attend a briefing session on a subject that has great influence on our ongoing economic prosperity and geared to the editors of media instances across the Metro. The organisation holding this info session personally called, the day before the session, all editors/media that had received the invite the week before, to confirm their attendance.
The turnout on the day was poor at least and I assume that the many uncollected name tags belonged to media persons that confirmed attendance (TWICE) but just did not bother to pitch.
There is no shame in saying; “NO” guys and gals – you do not have to say yes to everything and then be rude.
Afcon
As a loyal South African and DESPITE the Afcon LOC treating local media like sh*t I have been following and updating the Afcon 2013 Wiki page on MyPE daily. What irks me no end is that every day that I go to the http://www.afcon2013online.com/ site and click on the View More>> link in the results tab which takes me to a 404 page.
SURELY SOMEONE at IS could have fixed this by now?
