I am so tired of reading articles and opinions where writers say something like; “We have all enjoyed freedom since 1994 – Black, Coloured, White, Indian etc. ……” or some such.
For the love of all mankind can we stop polarising and highlighting our differences?
After all we don’t write; “We have all enjoyed freedom since 1994 – Male, Female, Gay, Lesian etc. ……” so why do we insist on writing and saying “We have all enjoyed freedom since 1994 – Black, Coloured, White, Indian etc. ……”???
Please fellow South Africans – stop it NOW, Stop IT, STOP it, stop it – it is senseless and divisive and just dumb!
