Fish River Golf Day in aid of Child Welfare

25 April 2012 By Alan Straton

Children throughout the Eastern Cape will benefit from the annual Fish River Sun Child Welfare Charity golf day, which will be held on Saturday, 2 June 2012.

“Unfortunately, the economic and social challenges facing the Eastern Cape see demand for our services Child Welfare growing daily,” says Eastern Cape Child Welfare SA Area Manager, Pearl Blecher. “The Fish River Sun Child Welfare golf day gives golfers of all levels an opportunity to play on one of South Africa’s best courses, knowing that they are at the same time making a difference in the life of a child,” says administration manager Karen Lee of the Fish River Sun.

Child Welfare SA Eastern Cape is giving businesses the opportunity to sponsor greens and tees from just R500. Proceeds will go inter alia towards Child Welfare SA Eastern Cape assisting Child Welfare Societies in Port Elizabeth, East London, Port Alfred, Kenton-on-Sea and Grahamstown.

Contributions are tax-deductible.

The tournament is in a four-ball better ball format, with two scores that count. Entry is just R1000 per four-ball including green fees, snacks, prize-giving and entertainment.

Interested parties can contact Pearl at 041 583 1338 or 083 399 5853 or by email at pearlb@nashuaisp.co.za

A special discounted accommodation rate at the Fish River Sun is available for participating golfers and their families. Contact Stefan Ferreira on 041 583 1968 for bookings.
