Fault Report: 29/03/2021 – @NMandelaBaymuni – Ward 7

By

On 29/03/2021 RONALD GORDON reported a fault in Ward 7: (Schauderville, Holland Park, Ferguson, Steytler, Adcockvale, Newton Park, Kensington, Perridgevale, Parsons Hill, Greenacres, Glenhurd, Mill Park) at 74 HURD STREET, NEWTON PARK.

Fault Details:

Problem reported: Water Leak

Detail:

We have reported a water leak which we have on the pavement in front of our property, 74 Hurd Street, Newton Park, since 11 October 2020 and phoned in to report every other week. The municipality keep on promising that they will send someone to attend to the matter. But on 9 February 2021 we were told that the job card had been closed on 08 February 2021. They have stated that there is no water leak at the premises. A new reference no. ref 1363018 was issued. We however checked back on our camera’s and no one has been here to check for leaks.

Since the Municipality are telling the public to save water, and that extra water usage will be charged at a higher fee, neglecting the water that is running slowly down the drain is offensive to the public.

During this time a number of people have asked us to report this leak, however we are now at a loss for words and excuses.

Reference Number: REF No.: 1363018
