The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum will open an exciting exhibition of local art next week and hereby invites art lovers and members of the public to come and enjoy the diversity of art by both established and emerging artists.
Titled Who’s who and what’s new, this annual art exhibition is designed to foster the talent of Nelson Mandela Bay visual artists by providing them with a platform to exhibit their work. The exhibition usually attracts a record number of entries every year from local artists wishing to make the most of this unique opportunity to showcase their work.
It will be opened by Bretten-Anne Moolman, a local artist who is also serving as the chairperson of the Friends of the Art Museum, on Wednesday 20 April at 17:30 for 18:00. Live entertainment will be provided by the John Edwards Jazz Trio.
Artworks will be on sale at the launch and all are encouraged to support the local artists.
The exhibition will be on show until 8 May 2011
