TrueTech Readies South African Homes and Offices for a Year-End Tech Upgrade

2 November 2026 By Alan Straton Leave a Comment

South Africans who want their technology sorted before the holidays have a good reason to order now. TrueTech, the online technology store at truetech.co.za, is urging households, small businesses and office managers to handle upgrades at the end of October instead of joining the December scramble. Its online catalogue covers screens, PC parts, printers and kitchen appliances, and couriers deliver to addresses nationwide.

There is a practical case for acting early. In the last few weeks of the year, many families swap out an old screen or appliance before relatives visit. Businesses use up the rest of their annual budget, get workstations ready for January hires, or set up packing and dispatch areas for their busiest trading season. An order placed at the end of October leaves enough time for delivery and setup, and for a return or exchange if one is needed, before the holidays begin.

A store built around technology

TrueTech exists to give South African shoppers quick, dependable access to technology products, backed by clear product details and reliable after-sales service. Behind it is The CMF Group, a South African online merchandising business founded in 2018. The group now handles more than 15,000 orders a month through leading online marketplaces and its own direct-to-consumer stores.

The CMF Group trades in many product categories, but TrueTech sells technology only. The company says this narrow focus speeds up fulfilment, makes its product descriptions more accurate and keeps service consistent for customers anywhere in South Africa. The store sums up its approach in its tagline: “Real People. Real Tech.”

Better displays for every desk

A better screen is one of the most popular upgrades at this point in the year. TrueTech’s computer monitors start with everyday 24-inch office displays and go up to 27-inch, 34-inch ultrawide and 4K models suited to design work, spreadsheets and gaming. Brands include AOC, ASUS, Dell, HP, MSI and Samsung. If you have spent the year squinting at a laptop, adding a second display is one of the easiest ways to make a home office more comfortable.

Components for DIY builds and repairs

TrueTech carries a wide range of components for people who build or upgrade their own computers and for the technicians who repair them. The motherboards collection includes ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI and ASRock boards. The wider PC components section adds memory, graphics cards, storage and cases. Because the board, memory and storage can all come from the same store, an upgrade needs only one order and one delivery.

Getting dispatch ready for peak season

Warehouses, retail counters and small online sellers will all be gearing up for bigger order volumes in November and December. TrueTech stocks label printers from brands including Brother and Zebra for shipping labels, barcodes, shelf tags and product labels. It also sells label rolls, thermal ribbons and other printing and point-of-sale consumables. Installing a label printer before the rush is much easier than hunting for one once the parcels have started stacking up.

Around the house

Computers are only part of the range. TrueTech’s home appliances include smaller items such as air fryers, kettles, coffee makers, fans and vacuum cleaners, as well as larger ones such as fridge-freezers, ovens and dishwashers, from brands like Defy, Philips and Xiaomi. Large appliances are delivered to the door. The store’s delivery policy states clearly that installation, connection and removal of old units are not included, so buyers can make their own arrangements in advance.

Shipping and returns policy

TrueTech delivers only within South Africa. Orders below R1,500 pay a flat delivery fee of R150, and orders of R1,500 or more ship free, whether they go to a major centre or a regional town. The delivery fee is worked out at checkout and stays fixed once the order is placed. Products containing lithium batteries, such as power banks and UPS batteries, travel by road freight only, and the store notes that this can mean longer delivery times to outlying areas.

Shoppers who change their minds have seven days from delivery to log a return, provided the item is unused and still in its original, unopened packaging. No restocking fee applies. If an item arrives defective, damaged or not as described, TrueTech covers the cost of the return. The support team is available Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30.

The case for ordering early

Late October is a good time to work out what needs replacing before the year ends. A new monitor, a motherboard upgrade, a label printer for the packing table or a new fridge all need some planning. Ordering early gets delivery, setup and any exchanges out of the way before retailers and couriers reach their busiest weeks. TrueTech’s website lets buyers compare models, check specifications and place an order in one place, at any hour.

The complete range, along with delivery and returns information, is available on the TrueTech website at https://truetech.co.za/.
