31 March 2011 By Alan Straton

Apologies in advance to those guys who rely on updates via the MyPE Live Blog – on Saturday I start 6 days of voluntary work on the water looking after 30 of the countries top Optimist Dinghy sailors taking part in a Selections regatta to choose which of them will represent South Africa, so am unable to travel even if the budget could stretch to a weekend in Pretoria for the Longhair and I (anyone want to sponsor the next trip?).

Passionate about Port Elizabeth and definitely NOT packing for Perth. Alan's ethos is epitomised in the words of Nelson Mandela; "I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the idea of a democratic and free society. If need be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die." See more articles by Alan.

I hope the Kings go and kick the Bulls backside in their own back yard
