Elections, Erections and Pithy Predictions

2024 is, like every other National Election year, being touted by anyone with an iron in the fire as a ‘watershed’ election, as our ‘1994 moment on repeat’ and as ‘the year the ANC gets a hiding’.

Such is the excitement in the Red camp that they are advertising the upcoming ballot as an ‘erection’, the Blue guys and their allies are predicting a coalition government at the very least.

The ‘former freedom fighters’ have thrown a spanner in the works by emerging as a very credible threat – based on their scooping a former President to their ranks and their gleeful reporting of millions of sign ups via their online form – they may have to subtract ONE of those sign ups as it was done on behalf of ANC member Cyril Ramaphosa!

BUT, My Real Amateur View/Prediction of the Upcoming Elections Goes Like This:

That between these three parties: ANC, EFF and MK they may be able to garner enough votes to form a coalition government to the detriment of the other many voices in this crowded space.

Jst imagine – The Devil and TWO of his/her/it/they/them spawn running our country?

If that were to come to pass we could literally be in for a roller coaster ride to nowhere.
