Often an idea in a large organization grows legs on unintended consequences.
Like a dog with a favourite bone buried in the garden I keep returning to the statement that a vote for smaller parties is this huge “swart gevaar” move that will result in a failed state and misery for all.
And, once again, I find myself completely confused as to why a political party such as the DA would come out against smaller parties – simply put the statement NOT to support smaller parties is dangerously close to the next step which is to DENY SMME’s from trading as they are not big enough, do not have the skills or will split the profit of the big companies.
SURELY the notion being promoted by the DA that people (smaller parties, movements and independents) must be deprived of their right to make a difference and the right to contribute to their small sphere of existence borders on being unconstitutional?
