This week sees the fourth successive decrease in dam levels with the average dam level dropping by 0.3% in contrast to last weeks drop of 0.2%
Bringing home the crisis (Yes Roland – the CRISIS) is the fact that NOT ONE dam experienced an increase in level on last weeks levels.

Oh no, and here I was so convinced that the water levels had increased over the last 2 weeks. Took a trip out to Addo yesterday and everything is looking so nice and green. Led me to ponder – since 1994 has our population increased and by how much? Since 1994 how many additional dams have been built in order to support our growing population?
Any ideas, Anyone?
More to the point – when was the most recent dam built – I hazard a guess that it was the Kouga (old Paul Sauer) in the late 1960’s.
Could that be correct?
If it is so, then it looks like it was the pre-1994 bunch that need to also take a CANING.
Sure, agreed. Then changing the subject entirely, when was the last school built in the Eastern Cape. I believe that some classes are accommodating 50 plus kids in a class. It is sickening watching the visuals of what OUR South African kids are having to cope with at school. I feel that OUR government, whom we voted for, have let us and our future generations down.
25 new schools have been built in the Metro since 1994.
Yes, I know precisely how many – zero!
Repatriate all the illegals and our resources will suffice. If SA is expected to house ten million displaced people then the AU and UN should be funding the additional infrastructure requirements – not the SA tax payer.
