CEO of the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber, Kevin Hustler, was honoured on 15 July 2011 at the PMR.africa Eastern Cape Leaders and Achievers awards breakfast with a Diamond Arrow award.
Hustler was the only individual to receive this, the highest award of the annual event, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the economic growth and development of the Eastern Cape Province as a business person.
Award recipients are nominated and selected via a survey of more than 150 MDs, company owners, company directors, senior employees, and senior local and provincial government officials in the Eastern Cape regarding their perceptions of companies and individuals delivering outstanding service in the region. Hustler was the only individual named among companies receiving awards at this morning’s event.
Hustler is humbled by the unexpected award. “This award is not for me, alone, but for the team that supports me in delivering to the Chamber’s vision and serving our members. It is a tribute to the Chamber team, their levels of service, and the strength of the Chamber brand. Only with the support of our dynamic, transformed and pro-active board have we been able to achieve this. The relationships forged by the Chamber with key stakeholders in the region and its ongoing transformation do it credit.” Hustler said that his nomination pointed to his organization’s successful metamorphosis following a rebranding earlier this year.
