Runners can enjoy an active Valentine’s Day by taking on the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series’ ‘The LOVE Run 5K’ Strava Challenge on Tuesday 14 February 2023.

“The Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series’ ‘The LOVE Run 5K’ Strava Challenge is the perfect activity for active couples and/or friends and family on Valentine’s Day,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Founder of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series. “The Strava Challenges provide the perfect platform for runners to connect with one another as we build a stronger, healthier, and more active RUN YOUR CITY Series running community! It’s also a fun way to keep fit in preparation for the 2023 Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series. So, grab your significant other, family members and/or friends and enjoy an active Valentine’s Day by taking on ‘The LOVE Run 5K’ Challenge on Strava.”

“Runners will need to complete their 5km run/walk between 05:00 – 23:00 on Tuesday 14 February,” continues Meyer. “An awesome pair of PUMA NITRO running shoes is up for grabs. To stand a chance to win this fantastic prize, all you need to do is complete the 5km run and share your experience, pictures, and routes to the RUN YOUR CITY Series Strava Club page. It really is as easy as that.”

Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series Strava Challenge #2: The LOVE Run 5K

Date: Tuesday 14 February 2023
Time: between 05:00 – 23:00
Distance: 5km
Location: Runners can choose their own location and route

How to join Challenge #2:
1. Runners are to “join” the RUN YOUR CITY Series Running Club on Strava: https://www.strava.com/clubs/rycs
2. If runners have not done so yet, they will need to create a Strava Account before they can join the club.
3. Runners are to join The LOVE Run 5K event on the RUN YOUR CITY Series Running Club by clicking on the orange “I’m in” button displayed next to the Event listing.
4. Runners must record their run using a smartphone (Android or iPhone device) or smart watch (Garmin, TomTom, Suunto, Fitbit, Polar etc.)
5. All activities logged during the event period must be uploaded to Strava no later than 23:00 on Tuesday, 14 February 2023.

WIN WIN WIN: All runners and walkers who complete ‘The LOVE Run 5K’ Challenge and share their activity to the RUN YOUR CITY Series Running Club on Strava within the stipulated time frame stand the chance of winning a pair of PUMA NITRO running shoes. The winner will be selected by random draw and announced on the RUN YOUR CITY Series Running Club page on Wednesday 15 February 2023.
