Nelson Mandela Bay’s best hope of Premier Soccer League (PSL) participation, Bay Stars, overpowered Champions FC at the Gelvandale Stadium on Friday with a convincing 3 – 1 win.
The home team’s Leroy van Rensburg scored in the second minute of the match followed by Wade Jooste in the tenth minute. Farouk Abrahams made sure of a penalty about three minutes later to increase Bay Stars’ tally to 3 – 0 in the first half.
The visitors from Lusikisiki managed to pull one back when they scored in the thirteenth minute of the second half.
