Another Straton Solar installation – this time with Solar Edge. As we travel around we see competing products and remain convinced that we have chosen the right products to promote, support, install and maintain. Solar Edge for those installations with shadow and ‘difficult’ roof orientation and Schneider for the more ‘ideal’ roof configurations with no shadow. – Taken by the Editor whilst wandering aimlessly about pretending to be in the know.

Passionate about Port Elizabeth and definitely NOT packing for Perth.
Alan's ethos is epitomised in the words of Nelson Mandela; "I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the idea of a democratic and free society. If need be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die."

Wondering if the SA solar industry make use of micro inverters for grid intertie (e.g. Enphase) or if the preference is for string inverters ?
Enphase have not made huge inroads in SA – if memory serves they note around 10 installations in SA. I have made enquiries via their web site and still await feedback.
