Anele Qaba – Another View

The Shock, Gasp, Horror around the MBDA’s appointment of Anela Qaba refers.

I have placed myself in his shoes and imagine as follows:

If I was NOT qualified in terms of the appointment and was witness to the wholesale condemnation of my appointment and even slander against myself I do NOT think that I would be able to sleep at night and would have walked away a long time ago.

It MUST be said that Anele was APPOINTED and those that did the APPOINTING must examine the reasons why they did so.

  • Was it because they wanted a puppet to manipulate and profit from?
  • Was it becasue they were completely incompetent and failed to ensure the candidate did qualify?
  • Do they actually view the Municipality and it’s entities as their OWN corner shop with easy access to the cash in the till?

Whatever the reasons it is a crying shame that people can be appointed to positions of trust when they know full well that they do not possess the qualifications to do so – whatever happened to exercising your own personal moral compass and being lauded for that?
