The Daily Maverick recently expressed the wish that; “If you Google “Latte Revolutionary“, there really ought to be a picture of Black Land First (BLF) leader, Andile Mngxitama next to the page one results.”
Well with MyPE’s assistance and, hopefully the assistance of many other readers, social media accounts and web site owners we would like to start the ball rolling to make this small wish come true. Please do share, link and republish this article and the accompanying image.
Background:
On 3 August 2017 a small group of Black First Land First (BLF) members held their own side show just outside the main venue of The Gathering – Media Edition in Cape Town.
Disruptive from the start and barred from entering the venue by security, they started hurling racist slurs at every white person within their sights. And, all the while they were abusing security deployed at the venue.
The BLF, pals of the Gupta family who are at the centre of the conversation at The Gathering, disrupted the event despite a court order interdicting the group from harassing members of the media in the midst of the #Guptaleaks email revelations.
The BLF entourage staged a brief but uneventful rant in front of cellphone cameras outside the CTICC, before being driven away in Brian Molefe Junior’s Red Audi A1 – now who said that revolutionaries had to be poor?
The Andile Mngxitama – the Latte Revolutionary image is courtesy of the Daily Maverick and the Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara latte art insert is by Mike Breach – a New York Latte Artist.
See the Daily Maverick article on the Latte Revolutionary, Andile Mngxitama.
