One of the traditions of the Collegiate High School is that after the Matric final assembly and valedictory service they all descend on Hobie Beach for a swim in their school uniforms.
This year the Apprentice Longhair, our daughter Brittany, was part of the happy throng that indulged in this traditional ‘cleansing’ ceremony – it seems just like yesterday that she and her friends were entering pre-primary up the road.
Exams start on Monday for some and we would like to get all maudlin and thank her school and friends for being such a great support – between the Longhair, the Kangaroo, the Apprentice Longhair and I we did shed a tear or two at this passing rite this morning.
