About the Bias in National Orders

20 April 2018 By Alan Straton

Dear MyPE

WHY WHY WHY … are “National Orders” Only Bestowed On ANC-approved Recipients?

Just like in the Eastern Cape which should be called “The Home Of ANC-approved Legends”

I nominated JODY SCHECKTER, an East London native, for several Provincial Awards many times over the years to no avail … as he is currently the ONLY African FORMULA 1 Champion since the Sport’s inception in 1950, the LAST Ferrari F1 World Champion to be known by Enzo Ferrari & the Record Holder for 21 Years as a Driver Title for Ferrari until Michael Schumacher in Year 2000.

Maybe it is because he has no “Struggle Credentials” and/or because he is White?

Regards

Luyanda Kama

Passionate about Port Elizabeth and definitely NOT packing for Perth. Alan's ethos is epitomised in the words of Nelson Mandela; "I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the idea of a democratic and free society. If need be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die." See more articles by Alan.
