There is some debate here in MyPE land about whether Coupons are the way to go when it comes to selling off space and product, I tend to think that they somehow ‘cheapen’ the offering whereas others say that a coupon is a great way to generate hype and notify people about specific NEW product offerings.
Nevertheless, we are gonna give it a bash.
Two of our new product offerings for advertisers on MyPE are located here:
- A 300 x 250 advert in the RHS Sidebar (List price of R25.00 per thousand impressions)
- A 120 x 600 advert to the right of the RHS Sidebar (List price of R50.00 per thousand impressions) *
- We are allowing a MAXIMUM of 5 advertisers in each spot – ads rotate evenly.

No Please…been there…been had!
Bought a Groupon Voucher for a beaty treatment..Paid R250.00 Claimed Value R670.00……….worth no more than R150.00. Needless to say I believe that they (the salon) have done themselves more harm than good in that it should be worth what they claim, which it was not. The moral of the story. Nothing desirable,worthwhile etc. is discounted to such an exent. It is a case of bull…baffles brains. The best and most desirable objects are never discounted. Point to ponder. But for me I have now distanced myself from these outrageous discount vouchers.
I advertise on your site and it is worth what I pay, so now are you going to discount some spots and make me feel diddled??????What say you uncle Alan.
ONLY the new spots are discounted in order to create some form of vibe around them – at least you now know that they exist…..

Bugger – forgot to say that the conditions applied also lessen the monetary blow somewhat and that the CPM price is based on what I get from two of the largest ad networks around so I think I am pretty spot on for value at the list price. The 75% is basically what I would have to pay for an advert on another network.
Well done Alan – this is an absolute bargain. The only problem is that you aren’t selling vouchers upfront and raking in the bucks, it will be immediate, so you won’t be able to build up a cozy little slush fund and hope that the vouchers aren’t redeemed by expiry date. Good luck though – great value for money for the advertisers.
