An unmarked truck delivering around R2 Million rand worth of cigarettes to the national listed business in Perserverance where the Longhair works was robbed this morning.
Last month the same business and type of delivery was targeted by armed robbers.
This time the violence has escalated somewhat as shots were fired and two staff cars now bear the scars from flying lead.
Apparently these types of deliveries are shrouded in secrecy, dates and times changed and trucks are umarked or bear logo’s unrelated to the cargo.
BUT, twice now, armed robbers have walked or driven onto the premises and stolen the truck before the cigarettes could be unloaded.
Somewhere there is a big fat leak of information to these armed robbers and I just wish that it could be stopped as they are now compromising the safety of the Longhair and her fellow employees as well as negatively affecting the share price.
Maybe if everyone stopped smoking this would not happen again.
