Kevin Hustler, CEO of the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber, welcomed the increase in dam levels but cautioned residents and business as well; “An increase in the dam levels is indeed a cause for celebration, but residents must keep in mind that water restrictions are still in place. Our target as a metro is still to remain under 250 Ml usage per day, and we remain committed as the voice of business in the Bay to keep the issue of water conservation in the metro high on the agenda, to continue to focus on the improvement of infrastructure and the availability of water, and to share best practices among our members to the benefit of Nelson Mandela Bay as a whole.”
