On 05/08/2024 Zahn voted Yes in our poll on ending punitive water tariffs.
Zahn Says:
We have plentiful supply of water in our dams and we still use water sparingly.
End the punitive measures NOW because I am tired of paying for something that’s unnecessary.
Just because Council and the municipality don’t know how to spend our rates properly and always seem to be in the red doesn’t mean we, the ratepayers and consumers should foot the bill..
Everyone is struggling financially – we are living in times of ever-increasing prices on everything and the average person can’t keep up anymore.
It’s time to end this now!

On 12 December 2024 the NMB ended the Punitive Water Tariffs. Thank you to all who voted and put pressure on the Muni to end these tariffs.
All responses are also submitted to the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality and Director of Water.
