Dear Ward 7
Good day, Hope all is well
Herewith I would like to submit a complain about Connaught Avenue , Kipling Road ,Kensington. The traffic control in the above mentioned areas are a huge risk for the residents and especially for the school going children. Connaught Ave is one of the longest streets in this suburb and has absolute no traffic control nor speed calming measures in order. I personally has three children and I fear for the high risk of accidents in our community. We live on a corner house on a four way crossing where there is absolute no speed calming method. Our boundary wall has been knocked / ride over by three different driver which we don’t know who is it still to this moment. the corner houses has got no protection. our streets has no stop signs or proper road markimgs . There are streets that has no existing signages and is a hi risk as motorist don’t worry or keep in mind about the pedestrians walking nor the children cause they just have in mind that they have ride of way. children are playing in the dangerous mentioned streets and riding bikes as they have no space or place to enjoy their journey of just being a child. no parks nothing for our children. we the residents don’t know what to do or where to go to be helped as our counsilor of ward 7 who we the community don’t even know who was the appointed councillor appointed for ward 7 as he have not yet had the humanity to introduce himself to the community or even just notify us. nothing. It looks as the above mentioned counsilor has no intention of helping his community as the above mentioned has been a huge concern for years and still nothing has ever been done. it is disappointing to see that there is people chosen to help and assist, but is not doing there work to help the community. I am gladly available to assist in any matter to help my community in any way possible. please be so kind to assist in the above mentioned problem we facing daily.
Kind regards
Rozetta Sampson
