Home visits and Special Votes for the LGE 2021 take place on 30 and 31 October 2021.
Voters who have registered for a Home Visit to vote will be visited between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm on EITHER of the days.
Voters will appreciate the extreme difficulty for the IEC to give a specific date and time for each home visit by election officials and the PRESUMPTION is that if a voter has applied for a Home Visit then that voter is home bound and unable to travel.
For example: There are 126 Home Visits registered in Ward 7 which officials have to travel to and accept votes in the 18 hours time period – 7 Home Visits per hour!
Can you imagine what a nightmare it would be if each Home Visit was given a set time?
