What are our political choices in South Africa?

6 May 2021 By Alan Straton

Let’s look at the Top Three:

  1. A party mired in coruption and stealing and lean on fulfilling promises 27 years later
  2. A party forever tainted with the legacy of apartheid
  3. A Right Wing Militant party hell bent on Nationalisation

NOW do you understand why the 2nd party in question may just have reached it’s peak – no-one from the first party will change their vote as they still believe that their party of choice will keep the apartheid dogs away.

On the other hand the 3rd party of choice continues to gain support from the youth who will NOT vote the way their parents did and still want to experience the miltitancy and rage against the machine that gave birth to to our democracy…

What is the answer?

Take politics out of Local Government to begin with as the tentacles of this Circle of Chaos between the Top Three extend deep into our Municipality.

Give both of your vites to someone like AIM who promise to deal with City Business on a ‘100% Nelson Mandela Bay’ Ticket by ‘Putting People First’.

What have you got to lose by taking a bold step?

Passionate about Port Elizabeth and definitely NOT packing for Perth. Alan's ethos is epitomised in the words of Nelson Mandela; "I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the idea of a democratic and free society. If need be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die." See more articles by Alan.
