Warriors Travel to East London

The 1 Day Cup is now  in full swing and the Chevrolet Warriors will take on the Sunfoil Dolphins in East London today, Wednesday 16 November in their fifth match of the competition.

The game will start at 15:00 and tickets are R30 for adults and R20 for children and scholars. Tickets are currently available from the ticket office at Buffalo Park, Ticketpros online or at Postnet outlets.

Fans are urged to support the EVERYDAY WARRIOR campaign and bring along an item of non-perishable food which will be donated to charity.

3 lucky ticket holders will have the opportunity to participate in an on-field competition during the break and could win up to R1500.00 but you need to be at the game to stand a chance of participating!

The Chevrolet Warriors team was announced as follows: Colin Ingram (Captain), Andrew Birch, Johan Botha, Athenkosi Dyili, Arno Jacobs, Justin Kreusch, Makhaya Ntini, Wayne Parnell, Jon-Jon Smuts, Rusty Theron, Craig Thyssen and Simon Harmer.

Nicky Boje is currently struggling with a hamstring strain and will not play on Wednesday in East London.  He has been replaced by Simon Harmer.

Travelling past East London and further up the coast to Pietermaritzburg is the Eastern Province Senior Provincial Team who will take on KZN Inland in their last CSA Provincial match and Pro20 for 2011. This match will take place in Pietermaritzburg from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 November 2011

The Eastern Province Selectors announced the team as follows: Michael Smith (Captain), Colin Ackermann, Warren Bell, Sizwe Masondo, Michael Price, James Price, Kelly Smuts, Lionel Vaaltyn, Basheer Walters, David White, Reece Williams and Monde Zondeki under the watchful eye of coach, Christo Esau.
