Dear MyPE
Sitting in my vehicle today, I saw a barefoot guy pulling a little trailer behind him go past me.
After about 2 minutes or so, I decided to go and look for this guy and found him.
His name is Paul, a 70 year old man, who is walking from Cape Town to Durban as part of a cancer awareness campaign.
Whilst speaking to Paul, he mentioned that he had lost his wife to cancer and that his daughter has also just had chemotherapy.
Paul (surname withheld) is presently in his 14th week of walking from Cape Town, barefoot. He averages between 10-15km/ day and mainly walks the N2 so that his plight has greater visibility.
Paul is not just walking, but also trying to educate the public along his journey.
Feel free to follow Paul on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/Paul.ucheck or visit www.barefootforcancer.co.za
