The political landscape of South Africa has shifted since the inception of our democratic dispensation. The mindset of politicians is no more about the freedom of the nation but self-serving. Each and every politician or an activist is thinking of the shortest route to make quick money. This has resulted in the elite and the middle class being the only beneficiaries of our hard fought freedom whilst the majority of our people are living in squalor conditions and abject poverty. The citizens are used as cannon fodders, voting cows whose unsuspecting votes enrich the others by placing them in strategic government positions.

The UNITED RESIDENTS FRONT (URF) as a SOCIAL MOVEMENT comes handy as an answer to the above stated problem that faces our nation.

WHAT IS UNITED RESIDENTS FRONT?

It is an amalgamation of residential formations of all walks of life ranging from Social Movements, Trade Unions, Former Defense Force Members such as S.A Cape Corps, Task Forces, Self Protection Units, Burial Societies, Business, Hawkers, Farmers, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO), Community Based Organizations (CBO), Institutions of higher learning, Academics, Intellectuals, Professionals, Activists, Transport (Taxi Associations and Busses), Traditional Leaders and Healers, Religious fraternity, Sports, Music, Art and Culture, former Councilors, Members of provincial Legislatures and Members of Parliament, Unemployed People, Retired and serving civil Servants and current, Mine and Ex-Mine Workers, Health Practitioners such as Care givers of HIV/AIDS affected and infected peoples, Youth, Women and people with Disability.

THE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF URF:

  • To empower the nation to meet the ever increasing demands of living.
  • To transfer quality knowledge and wisdom from those who posses it to the others.
  • To act as an effective quality breeding base of responsible persons.
  • To unearth latent talent of all kinds and expose it to the nation and internationally
  • To develop a full human being Economically, Socially, and Spiritually.
  • To insist on a qualitative development of our people and our country.
  • To enforce the country’s Constitutional requirement by the powers that may be.
  • To protect the Citizens of South Africa from all unscrupulous activities between Citizen to Citizen and Government and a Citizen.
  • To educate the Citizens on their legislative rights at all levels of governance.
  • To educate the Citizens about the Power of their Vote.

UNITED RESIDENTS FRONT (URF) is a social movement of the millennium whose main target is the disadvantaged and poor communities of South Africa and the neighboring countries such as Lesotho, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Angola and other African Countries who need our services.

UNITED RESIDENTS FRONT (URF) is not a political party but a social movement as stated. Its members will be free to participate fully in political activities of their choice including competitive politics at both local and a national level.

UNITED RESIDENTS FRONT (URF) will educate the communities on the survival skills in their areas. To breed Businessmen and women, Constructors, and people from all walks of professional life. It will assist communities to construct their own Health facilities in partnership with corporate world, international community and government.

UNITED RESIDENTS FRONT (URF) will establish offices nationally and in the neighboring countries. URF will forge links with other Social Movements nationally and internationally without any restrictions. URF will allow dual membership to all its members and the freedom of association.

UNITED RESIDENTS FRONT (URF) will insist on quality services to the nation. It fully comprehend that quality may be compromised if unqualified and less knowledgeable people are put in sensitive positions of responsibility including governance.

IDEOLOGY

UNITED RESIDENTS FRONT (URF) is a Social Democratic Movement. It subscribes to the ideology of an Africanist Socialist Democratic order driven by Socialists. It affirms Socialism as the antidote to Capitalism. It believes in a Socialist Society where people of the common aims and objectives will live together in harmony and peace.

FURTHER

We believe in the existence of Ancestors, our fore-bearers who paved the way of life for us. We get our protection and guidance from them at all times in good or bad times.

FUNDING /RESOURCES

UNITED RESIDENTS FRONT (URF) will be sustained by its members through subscriptions, funds creation, donations from any formation who believes in the aims and objectives it believes in, donations in kind including intellectual property and donations in material of any nature such as T-Shirts, Golf Shirts, Stationary, Office Furniture and Equipments etc.

UNITED RESIDENTS FRONT (URF) as a Social Movement is a future. We are making a clarion call to all the residents of South Africa to join and support it now!
